My travel book

I wrote a travel book, Two Laps Around the World: Tales and Insights from a Life Sabbatical, about two round-the-world journeys that I took with my wife. You can read more about the book here (including some chapter excerpts), or go directly to the book’s page on Amazon.com.

Business and culture

I’ve done quite a bit of writing about business and culture.  This writing has included more than 70 training manuals about the business cultures of specific countries. Much of this work was done when I was Manager of Editorial Services for Eaton Consulting Group (now Aperian Global). I’ve also written recent content for the online Globesmart training tool.

Additionally, I co-authored a chapter of a book for human resource professionals.  The chapter is called “Orientation for a Global Population” and it looks at cross-cultural issues to consider when dealing with a diverse workforce.  It can be found in the book Creative New Employee Orientation Programs.
